The DTAM D49 Wide-Area Radar Microwave Detector is independently developed by our company and adopts active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar technology. It is capable of monitoring no fewer than 8 lanes in both directions, with a maximum longitudinal detection range of up to 500 meters.
In addition to delivering traffic statistical data such as volume, speed, and occupancy, it also supports event detection functions including congestion, illegal parking, and overspeeding alerts.

Road Segments
Road segment scenarios are typically categorized into frontal installation and side installation. Frontal installation is usually mounted on gantries, while side installation can be applied on the side poles of gantries or roadside L-shaped poles.
Method 1: Gantry installation covering both directions of traffic
Method 2: Gantry installation covering a single direction of traffic
Method 3: Roadside installation
The microwave vehicle detector adopts 2D active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar microwave detection technology. The microwave signal scans each traffic lane along the transmission direction at a frequency of 20 times per second, reliably detecting traffic targets in real time.
Key technical features:
Wide-area detection: Up to 450 meters for approaching traffic and 500 meters for departing traffic, covering up to 8 lanes simultaneously.
Multi-target tracking: Capable of simultaneously detecting and tracking up to 256 targets.
Target tracking information: Tracks each target's position coordinates (x, y), velocity components (Vx, Vy), and vehicle classification. Equipped with graphical interface software that visualizes each tracked target in the detection zone and provides real-time information such as vehicle location, speed, and length.
Traffic data support: Capable of providing section-based traffic flow, average speed, and time occupancy rate.
Detection accuracy: Within 100 meters, detection accuracy for traffic volume, average speed, and incident detection is ≥95%.
Scanning interval: 50 ms; statistical period configurable between 1 to 3600 seconds.
Installation options: Supports both frontal and side installation, with recommended mounting height between 8-12 meters.
Remote access: Enables convenient remote debugging and firmware upgrades via network connection.
As a representative of the new generation of long-range microwave detectors, the DTAM D49 leverages wide-area multi-target detection, multi-mode behavior tracking, and multi-dimensional data mining technologies to offer an innovative solution for roadway information acquisition and traffic incident detection systems.
Utilizing wide-area radar, the DTAM D49 provides all-weather, real-time tracking of vehicles across large areas with precise positioning. By correlating vehicle data with lane geometry, the system can accurately detect a variety of traffic incidents, including illegal parking, abnormal lane changes, slow-moving congestion, and unsafe following distances. Alarm information is transmitted to the central platform, delivering timely and accurate event alerts to traffic management authorities and ensuring high incident detection accuracy.
Compared to traditional video-based incident detection systems, the DTAM D49 offers:
Extended detection range for parking violations,
More responsive and efficient lane-change detection, with the capability to simultaneously analyze multiple lane-change events within a region,
Accurate congestion level classification for slow-moving traffic, with event reports generated in real time at the second level.
